Carmen and Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando receive security clearance to rush up the steps of the Auberge de Castille after the prime minister on his first day there on 11 March.

Carmen Pullicino Orlando (il-mara ta’ Jeffrey) has been appointed to the board of Transport Malta, which is headed by former Labour Party CEO James Piscopo (never ask him to look after your pushchair).

So she got her iced bun, but really, what a put-down. Carmen PO was gunning for a chairmanship with a limo, driver and full-time salary, so that she could leave her marketing job at Yellow Pages and feel important.

But two chairmen in the same household is, apparently, like having two ministers in the same household. So as with Mrs Pullicino Orlando I (Marlene Farrugia), Mrs Pullicino Orlando II was asked to step aside by the most feminist government in Maltese history, taking a consolation prize while the man got the real job, however undeservedly.

Eh, but Mrs Bortex had warned us: Mhux lill min taf imma x’taf.

And the gullible believed her and they got the change they were promised.

What does she have to contribute to Transport Malta? Are my taxes ending up in her bank account just because she`s a Labour activist?

I just can’t stand JPO and I just don’t know how the PL fanatics have accepted him into their party. He’s there just because he can gain from it.
