Iced Bun Update: Jonathan Scerri

Jonathan Scerri

So Jonathan Scerri, who started today as Wasteserv Malta CEO, is not just the engineer who spoke under Labour’s igloo in favour of Labour’s amazing power station plans.

He’s also brother to Quinton Scerri of Super One, boyfriend to Nuxellina, Labour mayor of Hal Qormi.

This blog is beginning to sound like the outline for a novel set in some literally Godforsaken Sicilian village. Oh Emm Gee, as they say – where am I living?

Quinton Scerri is himself the mayor of Zabbar.

Some couple, him and the Nuxellina. Ferdinand of Aragon and Isabelle of Castille, eh.

    Trained at Loughborough University:

Mr Scerri, in the UK – land of commercial education – unless you go to Oxbridge, City, King’s College and a handful of top universities, you’re wasting time (I exclude the Arts which require specialised institutions). So I hope no one gives us the the usual crap ‘ghax studja barra’. Credentials please!

    • Luigi says:

You’re wrong Joe. The top ten Universities which are part of the Russel group are all prestigious universities in the UK. So it’s not only the ones you have mentioned albeit City University London is not part of the Group. However, it’s a very good university to study health economics.

Everytime I see a picture of that manly looking Agatha I can’t help picturing the Barbara family tomb at the Zabbar cemetery in my mind’s eye.

Which happened to be near the family grave of Carmelo Clark, murdered needlessly by a punk who should have been hanged in the summer of 1964 but lucky for this damn killer the death sentence was removed that year.

This must go down as the biggest con in Maltese political history – the josephmuscat.con smash`n’ grab winners-take-all.

  5. maria says:

Nuxellina? Is that a real name?

    • ken il malti says:

It sounds like a tasty hazelnut bread spread from the 1960s that one bought for a shilling a jar.

For Jonathan Scerri, Agatha Barbara was a ‘xempju’ of a politician. I agree with Jonathan. She was a ‘xempju’ of what a politician should NOT be.

When she was Minister of Education in the 1970s, the firm I worked for had sponsored a sports day and she came along. I can assure you that I never ever heard any man swear and blaspheme as she did.

So Jonathan, if you measure your politicians by this kind of yardstick, then no wonder you vote PL.

    • winwood says:

Maybe that was a repetition of what I,as a student at the Lyceum heard sometime around 1956 or 1957 when she as Education Minister gave orders for the annual sports day to be cancelled

  7. anthony says:

Some of the comments about the late president are hilarious.

I will leave it at that.

      “Kienet mara ta’ vera…”

      “Kienet mara tal-azzar.”

Thankfully, nobody commented “Kienet mara bil-bajd.”

  8. Kevin says:

To be more precise, I’d say it is a novel about the ‘mafia’ reaching out from a remote Sicilian village … ‘The Octopus’.

  9. Steve says:

Who is that man in a dress?

  10. Jozef says:

‘Bhal dik il-mara Malta qatt mhi se tara.’ Phew.

  11. Is there a plan to publish an up-to-date Malta’s Who’s Who so that one may not be lost in the maze of celebrities being created by this administration?
