Taghna Lkoll parking update

Published: July 23, 2014 at 4:01pm

These pictures show a car used by Omar Cucciardi, a MEPA case officer and close friend of Taghna Lkoll architect Robert Musumeci and Magistrate Herrera, parked on the pavement outside the MEPA building, blocking the wheelchair ramp.

An old parking ticket is slipped beneath his windscreen wiper in a cunning ploy to deceive the last warden in Malta who isn’t wise to that trick.

Omar Cucciardi was recently promoted as part of the iced buns being handed out to MEPA Labour employees – one has lost count of the amount of promotions meted out in the past six months to anyone who is Labour at the MEPA, with those closer to the Labour Party getting 2 or 3 promotions in the space of as many weeks.

Yes Omar has been playing this parking trick for years, and when he does get a ticket he boasts that he calls a police high official and all is forgotten. There are so many stories involving this man.

On the 6th July 2014 it was at the feast of Sacro Cuor in Sliema and at about 10.30pm I happened to be walking back home up St. Trophimus Street and there was Manuel Mallia’s ministerial limo parked on the corner with St John the Baptist Street.

The chauffeur was not waiting inside this badly parked car, and the minister and his wife were on the band club balcony.

  3. A Montebelo says:

Has anyone else noticed the mushrooming of ‘reserved’ parking spaces particularly in front of known Taghna Ilkoll households in areas where parking is at a premium? Sliema for instance.

They all suffer from idiocy but, unfortunately, it has not been yet classified as a disability.

  4. Obiter says:

I happened to be an objector to one of Musumeci’s applications. Our architect informed us that Musumeci is also well versed in the law, and we were certainly at a clear disadvantage.

Before we thought it’s over, Musumeci won the case on legal principles. The kamra tal-periti should ask him to refrain from any tactics which are detrimental to his colleagues.

[Daphne – Or you could have used some basic good sense and got yourself a lawyer and not just an architect.]

That’s what happens when it is the government that appoint magistrates. The labour leaning, labour appointed magistrate is pandering to FKNK just like the PM is doing.

Quelle surprise… interpreting the law literally without taking into account the spirit of the law and the intention of the legislator … its just shocking.

Therefore if, I see an injured protected bird, pick it up and drive to the vet I could be prosecuted for illegal possession or should I run to get a licence/authorisation before trying to save it??
