Malta Comic Con 2014 opens tomorrow at St James Cavalier in Valletta. Jason Micallef is giving the opening speech at 11am. I think this is a good newsroom opportunity, not so much to cover the comics as to corner this low-IQ-waste-of-space on where exactly he might be with preparations for Valletta 2018.

Oh for f*ck’s sake, do these morons have to ruin everything?

Did Minister Owen Bonnici speak yesterday in parliament (http://www.timesofmalta.com/articles/view/20141127/local/government-wants-court-hearings-in-absentia-when-accused-persist-in-not-turning-up.545909)?

Late at night we saw him going down Old Theatre Street, from St George’s Square, in the direction of the Manoel Theatre, and he was positively sloshed. He couldn’t walk in a straight line even if it were chalked on the street for him.

  3. Osservatore says:

Why is anyone surprised? Didn’t one of the very first photos of Muscat at his otherwise bare desk portray him with a copy of The Economist’s issue that read “Send in the clowns”. Well, the clowns are here and there is nothing funny about them.

They could not have chosen a better person to launch Comic Con. A real and proper buffu

Why are they always hugging each other ?

Daphne dan Jason halef li jrid jaghmel Strada Stretta bhal Paceville u ftit ftit qed jirnexxilu, pero il-Ministru Owen Bonnici huwa infurmat x’inhu issir go din it-triq specjalment fix-xhur tas-sajf.

Dan l-speci ta’ bully (Jason) qed jigi jaqa u jqum li hemm residenti b’familji bit-tfal u anzjani.

Imma ahna r-residenti ser nikkumbattuh full-out u mhux ser inhalluh jaghmel minn din it-triq Paceville, jew ghar minnhu, hawnhekk.

Is Comic Con the one on the right?

  8. Superman says:

Last year the PM visited the Malta Comic Con, but Simon Busuttil did not.

I hope this year Busuttil will pay a visit. There is a lot of talent there both Maltese and foreign (movie writers, comic writers, artists etc) which should be appreciated.

    • Jozef says:

      Well said.

    • H. Prynne says:

Why would you want them there in the first place?

Does every ‘talent’ have to be given ‘il-barka’ by a politician?

I was there last year when Muscat visited Comic Con, sucking up to the foreign artists and the look on some of their faces was of incredulity.
