So it turns out that the Dutch teenager’s aggressor is David Galea, 33, of Gzira. The Dutch teenager who was shot in the legs and hit in the face by a hunter yesterday – Mark Van Leeuwen – had the presence of mind to take a picture of him and showed it to the police, which is how they came to pick him up so quickly.

He was charged this morning. He has had to deposit his passport and identity card with the police to make sure he doesn’t leave the country, and has to sign the bail-book every day.
