Former AD chairman Michael Briguglio sets up Front Harsien ODZ with two Labour MPs

Jolly well done – Astrid Vella is now terribly cosy with the Tourism Minister and Din L-Art Helwa are being too polite about it all, in public at least, while one of its key people, Martin Scicluna, is in a great quandary because he told us to vote for this rubbish and the rubbish made him chair of the commission which will evaluate and approve the Jordanian business college that needs to be passed off as a university.

Therese Comodini Cachia and a few Jesuits should join immediately and back this up. Not Marthese Portelli, even though technically she’s shadow minister for the environment. She doesn’t cut it, and campaigners in full make-up who overly concerned about their appearance are never taken seriously. She’s a nice woman, but I’m not about to sit around and watch this country go even further down the spout just for the sake of being nice back.

I hope the Nationalist Party isn’t thinking of standing back from this oppositional group just because Michael Briguglio set it up and two Labour MPs were the first to join. A movement is forming – so ruddy well join it.

People have begun to wake up to the fact that Joseph Muscat is the precise opposite of what he sold himself to be.

All that talk about the environment in the general election campaign, and now this – disgusting. It’s not just the environment, either. I’ll bet you anything that what bothers Michael Briguglio, Godfrey Farrugia and Marlene Farrugia most is the well-founded suspicion that this was a pre-electoral done deal.

That it was a done deal is taken for granted. But if the deal was done prior to the general election, you’re looking at something more serious, more worrying.

Quite frankly, at this point I think people as irresponsible as Martin Scicluna, who have all the advantages that should have given them sharper perception, should be horse-whipped through a public square.

What a pity it is that people of such great arrogance are unable to feel the slightest bit of shame or embarrassment, which is why he will now be evaluating this ‘university’ as head of the commission legally empowered to do so, when what he should be doing is wearing his other hat and campaigning against it with Din L-Art Helwa.
