What does Ira Losco, goodwill ambassador for sustainable development, think of Zonqor Point?

Just three months ago, at a meeting of the Mediterranean Commission for Sustainable Development, our splendid Environment Minister Herr Flick named stuck-in-a-rut singer Ira Losco his ‘goodwill ambassador for sustainable development’.

At the time, Miss Losco said: “I am very honoured by this title, and I understand it is a great responsibility…I will do my best to use my position to promote sustainable development in my everyday life and to bring this concept closer to members of society who might not be aware of how they can make a change themselves…Some concepts and terminology might seem complicated to some people, and I believe it will be my task to help society understand that they need not necessarily be so confusing.”

Leo Brincat then chimed in to speak about the importance of having a guiding strategy for sustainable development, to the benefit of all stakeholders and the public. “We emphasise the importance of a participatory approach in policymaking,” he said.

Yet Ira Losco hasn’t said a single thing about Zonqor Point and nobody has asked her because we had forgotten already that she’s the goodwill ambassador to help make sure that things like that don’t happen. She’s probably in hiding with Audrey Harrison, when the two of them should be protesting all over the media.
