Prime Minister’s communications consultant in Twitter war with newspaper editor and Michael Briguglio

After tweeting disparagingly about Front Harsien ODZ leader Michael Briguglio and Malta Today journalist James Debono, the prime minister’s communications consultant, Glenn ‘Wino’ Bedingfield has become embroiled in a Twitter war with Briguglio and with Malta Today’s editor, Matthew Vella.

In the tweet which led to this antagonism, the prime minister’s communications consultant had included a sarcastic, poor-taste reference to the manner in which James Debono pronounces ‘s’ as ‘sh’ by spelling his name Jamex (Jamesh).

Exactly what sort of communications consultancy does former Labour Party employee Glenn Bedingfield provide to the prime minister, if he thinks it such a brilliant idea to insult and fight with journalists, newspaper editors and leaders of environmental protest groups?

Stick him on a spit for Silvio Parnis’s next fundraising hogfest, I say.

Paid by the public to insult the public – wonderful.
