The university is a present for the south, the prime minister said. The people of Cottonera, or better still Bormla, went out clapping that there will be business in the south thanks to the university.

It’s as if the people of Msida were all smiles and cheers when George Borg Olivier laid the foundation stone for the university at Tal-Qroqq.

Or imagine a carcade by the people of Swatar, Msida and Gzira every time there is a new building, a new facility or an extension of the University of Malta.
