Murdered man was due to sign contract to buy €1 million villa

Carmel Chircop, who was murdered early last Thursday morning in the communal garage where he kept his car, was in the process of buying a €1 million villa when he was killed.

The contract was due to be signed this week.

Chircop was not acting for the buyer but was buying it himself.

People involved in the field say that he made much of his money through real estate deals and that this, rather than the actual practice of law, was increasingly his main focus.
