Some background on the missing-and-found Robert Chetcuti

This reads like something straight from a Sicilian Mafia village, with savage fights at a First Holy Communion party where most of the guests are adults who are bristling at the thought that others are impugning their honour.

But other than that (and then they say that Malta has no experience of different cultures…), what strikes me most is the fact that Robert Chetcuti was tried, for this fight in defence of his brother Sandro, by Magistrate Consuelo Herrera, who is such a close friend of Sandro Chetcuti that she invites him to her birthday parties – as seen in this picture taken two years before this case was heard in 2011.
