Exclusive: See the CHOGM 2015 Sunita Mukhi Swarovski crystal-encrusted clutch bags here

Last Saturday I wrote about how the government has bought clutch bags encrusted with Swarovski crystals from Michelle Muscat’s friend Sunita Mukhi, to give to the wives of Commonwealth heads of government and to those heads of government who are women. But I didn’t have a photograph or any description of what they look like.

Then this morning somebody tipped me off that two of the bags are on display at Sunita Mukhi’s shop in the lobby of the Hilton hotel, and a reader very kindly went along to take photographs after I appealed for a spot of help.

Had it occurred to you that they would be actual souvenir-of-the-occasion bags? I don’t suppose so. It would never have occurred to me – but it should have.
