President Coleiro gives Queen Elizabeth “a gift designed by Sunita Mukhi”

We don’t know what it is yet – will we ever? – but all we can do is hope that it isn’t a clutch bag encrusted with Swarovski crystals, with a Maltese cross on one side and the Union Jack on the other.

Photographs of the gifts exchanged between the two heads of state and their husbands have been released to the press, but they do not include this mysterious ‘personal gift’ – probably for good reason.

The Malta Independent reports:

On a personal level, the President gave the Queen a gift symbolising the excellent relations between Malta and the United Kindgdom, designed by Sunita Mukhi.
