Were those stones meant to symbolise the Maltese Stone Age and the ‘temples’?

They just don’t get it, do they.

The opening ceremony should have included nothing more in the way of ‘entertainment’ than Joseph Calleja belting out a couple of token significant numbers – precisely because the opening ceremony is not an entertainment show but an opening ceremony and needs no entertainment at all.

But in Maltese hands it gets turned into a combination of WardaKanta, Gensna and Song for Europe.
