Spouse of the Prime Minister keeps National Audit Office out of Villa Francia

The Spouse of the Prime Minister, who has seized control of Villa Francia and made it her personal plaything, has not allowed the National Audit Office in to take an inventory of the goods, chattels, furniture and furnishings contained in that building.

In its general report, released yesterday, the National Audit Office said that could not check the inventory at Villa Francia “due to reasons beyond its control”.

When officers at the National Audit Office requested access as part of the standard exercise of checking the inventory of all buildings under the direct control of the Office of the Prime Minister, they were told that so many events and activities were going on at the villa that the audit exercise could only be carried out on Saturdays and Sundays.

When the National Audit Office confirmed – no doubt much to the Spouse’s dismay – that its staff would work over the weekend, it was still not given access to the building.
