Now we know why they reported the Opposition leader to the police for “stealing fuel”

The Opposition described it as a reactive strike to the publication of its ‘good governance’ proposals. But the publication of the National Audit Office report today reveals that it was actually a pre-emptive strike.

The report slams the fact that the Office of the Prime Minister is not monitoring the fuel consumption of its officers. Log books are not checked and details of fuel consumption are scant and vague. The explanation given to the National Audit Office by the Office of the Prime Minister is that “lack of resources” made it difficult for them to monitor fuel consumption.

Lack of resources – when they have been putting thousands of people on the state payroll and never need an excuse to creation a position of trust for a crony or several hundred.
