Don’t insult us, Deputy Prime Minister

The largely invisible Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Europe came out of hiding last night for a rare television appearance on TVM’s Reporter. New laws which regulate how magistrates and judges are appointed, he said, will be enacted before the general election.

Why – would it have killed them to do it in 2013? Or 2014? Or 2015? And is it to much to ask that the changes be made this year?

You can see what’s happening here: they’re going to stuff the judiciary full of former Labour Party officials and other forms of rabid Laburisti and weirdly inappropriate cronies like Anglu Farrugia’s daughter, and when they’ve done all they can, they’ll change the rules.

Il-vera żibel, ħa ngħidlek.
