UPDATED/Dumped deputy leader heads for Gozo with his wife

Toni Abela, dumped from the Labour Party’s deputy leadership and rejected for membership of the European Court of Auditors, was spotted on the ferry to Gozo this morning accompanied by his wife. UPDATE/I am informed that the woman he was with could not have been his wife because his wife was at work at the time. This is not to suggest anything untoward as she could have been a political or work associate.

This Gozo business really intrigues me. Getting away by going to Gozo? Come on, why does it happen. It’s ridiculous.
