Deborah Schembri keeps €25,000 in cash

Nobody transacts in cash anymore except for illegal dealings. And if the Parliamentary Secretary for Lands has that amount of cash because her clients paid her in bank notes when she sorted out their divorces, there has to be a reason. Another point: if it’s legitimate enough to be declared in parliament, then it’s also legitimate enough to be deposited in the bank.

Something is not quite right here – shades of Manuel Mallia and his sudden declaration to parliament of €500,000 in cash. Cash is something you have failed to deposit in the bank. So they don’t put it in the bank, but then they declare it to parliament. How really very fishy they are.
