I can’t believe how poorly educated people in Maltese public life are, even graduates from the University of Malta with a seat in parliament and an executive chairmanship of a state council.

I’ll bet that’s how he pronounces it, and that’s why he spelled it that way: Mary Gold.

And look at that picture in Kurt Farrugia’s tweet: a friendly meeting between the Prime Minister and young people, with all the young people ranged rigidly round the tent perimeter.
