The ‘slice of bacon’ mentality that brings us down

Malta’s bacon warriors and patriots (bacon terrorists?) have placed slices of the meat between the pages of copies of the Koran at the state general hospital.

They also left alongside them – in the hospital’s Multi-Faith Room – a picture of Jacques Hamel, the priest who was murdered by terrorists claiming allegiance to Islamic State, in Normandy last week.

If the intellectual level of these bacon terrorists were not so worrying, we would have here the perfect scene for comedy. But we had better not laugh, because this is serious business. Too many people with a bacon-terrorist mentality are the reason for the most imminent surge of massive problems in Europe and the United States.

The Archbishop has tweeted his disapproval.
