This is the sort of thing he does when he’s ANGLING to be asked, and not when he’s been asked

Maltese public life really has become a freak show over the last few years. To think that this one is the Law Commissioner (who does nothing except take the salary, parade the title and bring it into disgrace).

Now he’s angling for an invitation from the Labour Party to stand on its ticket in the upcoming general election. How do I know this for a fact rather than speculating that he’s been asked and is mulling it over? Short and simple: I’ve had to contend with his psychotic behaviour for the last eight years or so and can read this perambulating freak show like a book.

Is Muscat going to invite this nutter to try for a parliamentary seat in the Labour Party’s name? No way – he’s seen what Franco Debono does with his parliamentary seat when he’s lucky enough to find a political party stupid enough to let him stand on its ticket.

Muscat has enough problems as it is, and isn’t about to give himself some more voluntarily. If he does decide to allow Debono to stand just to stave off the 2,000 telephone calls and text messages a day – by now Debono might also have discovered how to use WhatsApp, something that the previous incumbent was fortunate to escape – he will have the party start a whispering campaign to avoid giving him the vote.
