Politician jailed in Britain for claiming he lived at one address when he lived at another

A councillor has been imprisoned for two months in Britain because he claimed to live at an address in his constituency when he lived just beyond the constituency’s border.

Meanwhile, Malta’s very own Minister for Gambling, for reasons best known to himself, is falsely registered as living separately to his wife, in Gozo, while his wife is registered at the Valletta address which is their home. He was falsely registered in this manner even when he was Minister of the Interior.
