I think what Karmenu wanted to illustrate by mentioning the Fagiolini was to remind us what we have lost by not electing his party – fledgling artists are not being helped by GonziPN (that’s what he implied at least)

@Romegas – the article you mention follows a Labour trend set by the Irrevocably Resigned Leader: throwing a bit of ‘high’ culture into newspaper articles to show what a cut above the rest of us they are. It’s pointless explaining to them that people want to read about politician’s views on politics, and not on what they’ve been reading/listening to the other day.

I was fond of the old look. To quote another blogger, it was very ‘elegant’. I suppose it was, because I plucked whatever needed to be plucked and started writing in what happens to be the first blog I ever wrote in. I used to stop myself from becoming too affectionate with some things, but there you go!

Back to business.What do you think of this chap who wanted to become Minister of Education with the reception class debacle, and who today wrote this piece, grandly named ‘Into a New Era’ in which he speaks about the Fagiolini and not the era!

What really strikes me about this piece is the true spirit of democracy within MLP. I am starting to believe that the “alahares jitla il-labour” phrase was not an overstatement after all.

Did you see the pic of the headmaster of St Augustine’s College speaking to four students ? Two students were slouching like spineless amoebas, the third one with both hands tucked in his blazer pockets , and the fourth seemed to have had a siesta in his uniform ! And this is a pic circulated to the media. At St Edwards we would be “gated” for carrying ourselves so badly, but thats St Edwards ! Schooling is not just an A in math…
