I saw the articles about Palin which Daphne is referring to as a Redneck. What do you think about McCain? I suggest you visit you tube and type in “McCain on economics” it is incredible how a possible President of the USA has no knowledge on economics. The best part of his interventions is where he states that he would wish that the interest rates are zero!!!!

I guess the meaning of Redneck depends in which context it is used.

If you are so concerned for those people that you consider as Rednecks, you should give your contribution and advise the govenment(on the little leaflet that was sent to all)on how to improve the quality life of these Rednecks. The existence of poor or low income people is another proof that the country needs to do a lot more. Unfortunately children that come from poorly educated people are grown up with many disadvantages unlike other children. What shall we do with these peolple burn them alive, kill them put them into jail simply becuase they are poor & uneducated? Shame on you and all those who share your views!

With some of the words I hear everyday about irregular migrants both from Labour and Nationalist supporters I sometimes feel that I’m living somewhere in 1920’s Alabama.

However statements such as the one below are generalisations based on an irrational hatred of anything red.

I agree that some Labour politicians behave like rednecks (vide the fejn huma l-iljuni tal-bidla stunt)e.g some others don’t e.g. Leo Brincat, Evarist Bartolo and others
