Was married? I didn’t know we have a special exemption in our legal system, which allows Important Persons to divorce their spouses. He’s either still married, or he was never married, or he got divorced overseas. In Sant’s case it’s the second: he was never married. His marriage was declared null and void. That’s what ‘declared null’ means. It was never there to start with.

he was for a time chairman of the island’s leading clothing factory Bortex and of the foundry Metalfond, among other consulting and management assignments that took him to Libya, Swaziland, Azerbaijan, Slovenia, Malaysia, California, Benelux, and Pakistan……I wouldn’t write these on my CV! not something to be proud of…METALFOND.

[Daphne – Bortex is a very good company and makes some excellent suits for Europe’s high-end names. But quite frankly, the chairmanship was one of those political appointments some companies like to go for.]
