Re the AN’s 10 proposals to illegal immigration, I am shaking my head and questioning how on earth could they come up with such poorly thought-out ideas. I am all for tackling the illegal immigration issue, however it has to be nipped at the bud while taking into consideration the human rights of the people ending up at our shores. Their proposals beggar belief, and clearly show what a poorly organised political party this is.

Furthermore, the comments left on timesofmalta.com are of concern. One Emma Xerri said that our politicians would do a Vittorio Emanuele III-style of evacuation and leave us at the mercy of “macheters”. That reminds me the films Hotel Rwanda and Shooting Dogs which are based on the Rwandan genocide of the 1990s. Another person (lgalea) simply reminds me of the Mintoffian-style of treatment to foreigners who voiced their views.

Honestly, this is too much – perhaps you could put an entry in your blog? The most worrying thing is that people are looking at these 10 points and seeing them as sensible when a couple contradict each other big time!
