This question of unknown father is getting ridiculous. They are just using it to milk the government of millions of euros in social benefits and also maybe housing. You cannot force them to register the baby’s father’s name but when they finally remember his name, the father should be made to pay all the social benefits paid whilst they were hiding away.

“Often, the presumed “unknown father” is also present for the baptism of the child” – this must take the biscuit ! How about an “unknown husband” on a marriage certificate? Or perhaps an “unknown nationality” on a passport? You’ll never know, there’s no wrong in trying!

There’s a new, rather “unknown” society for these types of fathers. It’s called UFO which stands for Unknown Fathers Organisation. Membership is free but strictly forbidden for named fathers and applications can take up to a year to get processed.

In my eyes, anybody who writes “unknown father” on a child’s birth certificate is a selfish so and so. I mean you’ve basically sold out your kid as a bastard to get paid. Very sad.

It is utterly amazing that the church blames the government for encouraging single mothers to have unprotected sex. The church should blame itself for most kids with ‘unknown fathers’. Until last year children born out of wedlock and from separated families had the privilege of being admitted to a church school without being subjected to the lottery system.

So if the church preaches hell and condemnation for single mothers and separated couples, are they not contradicting themselves? So much for the nuclear family the church supposedly favours.
