I was dumbfounded yesterday, especially when Dr. Cassola projected himself as Obama with his ‘yes we can’ slogan – which had it not been so sick coming from him, it would have been hilarious. Something else which was very evident yesterday during the debate was that both PN/PL were debating between themselves not caring that there was a spectator in the form of Dr. Cassola who was dying to say something but although they never seem to agree between themselves, it seems there was this agreement of ignoring AD.

Their reasoning is, let them have a bit of fun in Brussels and at the same time give the Nationalists something to think about. Joseph will have his victory, which undoubtedly will give him a false sense of security given his inexperience and at the same time it will remind the Nationalists that if they want to remain the occupants of Castille, they need to roll up their sleeves and listen to what the people are saying. Most importantly what the disgruntled middle class are saying, the people that are productive and work for their money and not the ones receiving social benefits for nothing.

When PN lost it 3 – 2 to the then MLP five years ago, Cassola and those who voted for him were blamed for it becase his 25K+ votes were said to have come from PN’s fold – which may be why many of those 25K+ who voted Cassola back then won’t do so again now.

If Labour gets 4 out of 6 this time, and Cassola doesn’t do as well as he did five years ago, then it would be a really bad showing for PN, especially when one considers the lousy leadership at PL.

No Daphne, it does not always help. Not when you don’t want children to understand what you’re talking about. But it takes a Daphne to spoil it. So I’ll stop here. Otherwise I just love the irony of speaking to people through a megaphone whose owner they dislike. Especially those who deserve much worse.

It’s part of the plot. Such things happen. There’s much more going on. When people are deperate, they do nasty things. It’s all being noted.

[Daphne – Joseph Muscat shows his polls to Sharon tat-Titanic, does he? I don’t think so. Yes, the Labour polls may well be fazulli given the party’s track record on this score, but guess what? The Nationalist polls have never been wrong as I recall and the figures quoted by The Sunday Times yesterday were correct. So the Labour Party has fazulli polls that – what do you know – just happen to be accurate. I love your ‘It’s all being noted’. So very old Labour. Get your dungeon ready and put Spettur Farrugia in charge.

Incidentally, I thought of you yesterday evening when I was watching South Park on Comedy Central. It was the famous 9/11 conspiracy theory episode, in which Stan and Kyle discover that the government is pretending to have done it so as to be seen as all-powerful.
