If you ask me the PN had six very elligible candidates out of ten. Worst in my opinion is David Casa.

The PL had just two eligible candidates out of 12, Louis and the Professor. That guy Zammit from Gozo takes the dunce’s hat hands down. What a twerp.

The position of one’s name on the ballot paper does not automatically mean second vote preference. During the 1994 local council elections I was in the 13th position alphabetically and still managed to get elected even though I was up against people who lived and worked in the community much before my arrival. The majority vote with their heads and not in a parrot-like fashion giving first preference to the name at the top of the list and continuing going down in number order.

[Daphne – There were very many PN ballot-sheets like that, the reason being that Simon Busuttil was first on the list and also by far the most favoured candidate. After choosing Busuttil, people may have been indifferent to the rest, and just went down the list in alphabetical order.]

Now what will they think? That the Maltese are all like them?
