Subediting or proofreading, call it what you will, has gone to the dogs at the Times (of Malta). Even Rev George Dalli was reported as Rev George Vella (who?).
Now as posts on line, they should be moderated as to content but as to spelling and grammar, leave as is; they make my 10 o’clock coffee go down with a pinch of humour while showing all and sundry that teaching of English has gone to the dogs. We cannot any more use”widespread knowledge and use of English” as a plus for would-be investors in Malta! Pidgin Maltenglish has become the norm.

In reply to M. Cilia. Not just the comment boards, but the reports themselves! They are full of grammatical mistakes and pidgin English. Just read the report about the sentencing of former Chief Justice Arrigo in today's paper. Incredible.

This makes believe more not to trust our justice and that corruption is waving her hands as well!!
