Il-perit should be asked by the government to resign all his official positions because of conflict of interest and also asked by the Nationalist Party not to contest the casual election for John Dalli’s parliamentary seat. He must have rubbed his hands with glee when he heard that Louis Galea has been appointed to replace Josef Bonnici. We don’t need another Debono or Pullicino Orlando in parliament.

Nahh, anyway – good for you, Daphne, to raise up these issues. We are witnessing an abuse of power by all concerned from a magistrate’s seat of power to a mayor. Normally, and I say normally, people in such positions resign. The lack of it, obviously speaks volumes as to the mentality of power and obsession that we Maltese have.
