I remember when I first started watching East Enders, Janine was a child and so was Ian. It was hard to follow at first (no internet in those days) and I remember preparing a sort of flow chart to see how the characters were related to each other.
I also watch Coronation Streeet but that is a few YEARS behind. I had read that one of the characters was killed and spent all this time wondering when it was going to happen – it now has! The difference to East Enders is that the suspense is wondering if the killer will get away with it as she is pleading self defence.

Man charged with blackmail remanded in custody

A man was remanded in custody this evening accused of blackmailing an elderly man.

Patrick Mangion, 36, of Bahar ic-Caghaq, was charged with blackmailing John Mary Borg after gaining possession of photographs allegedly showing him with a woman.
