‘Puppatur’ – that’s what people say Muscat is, even in the south. Thousands of Maltese have gone on these exchange programmes to Brussels thanks to the Maltese electorate seven years ago (to the day, almost) saying NO to Muscat’s Made in Brussels. To present an exchange programme to Paris as some kind of state visit truly takes the cherry. ‘Puppatur’ indeed.

Ok, so from the statement, neither the Prime Minister nor the Minister of Foreign Affairs met with Dr. Muscat, Leader of Malta’s Opposition. But he was invited by the French government. Strange way of doing things in Paris…

[Daphne – An invitation from the French government can be anything and at any level. Prime ministers meet representatives of the state or the government. The leader of the opposition has no such status.]

Why are you surprised? He is following the footsteps of his predecessor and pretty soon he will morph into his clone, thus requiring the necessary ‘appliance’.

Besides, he must be tearing what’s left of his hair when he reads this blog and realize (if he can, at all) by whom he is surrounded.

When he comes back, Charlon will no doubt be interviewing him at the Arrivals Gate and will make headline news on One media. Labour security will make sure that there are no black handbags around.
