Sorry to be pedantic but “Hey Joe” is not Hendrix’s. Jimi made the song famous but it was actually reocrded by about 8 other artists before Hendrix recorded it.

Good luck with your crusade. Here in the U.K. we have people rubbing out apostrophes on notices such as “Cabbage’s (or potatoe’s) for sale” etc. Although not quite the same thing, it is an uphill task.
