Seems the UN has heard about there being some trouble in Libya. BBC has just reported that Ban Ki-moon informed Gaddafi that he is ‘concerned’ about the situation developing in Libya.

Did he read something about it on Maltastar?

Oddly enough neither the UN’s homepage nor its news headlines feauture Libya, except in passing.
The word ‘Libya’ does not even feature on the news page, though it is probably buried in one of the articles linked from that page.

If real, well, I needed no proof that despite credentials, respectability, and standard of education, anyone who pronounces him/herself against giving people the right to divorce quite frankly lacks logical and intelligent reasoning skills, fullstop. Well, your typical God-believer I suppose. Plenty of those about.

It’s really not a question of opinion or one’s disagreement with. I don’t need divorce but I sure as hell will vote for its introduction, even though I’d much rather not have to because in so doing I will be playing along with the charade.

The media in Malta is becoming more and more parochial. Combine that with apathy/laziness (unless they receive a prepared press release ready for copy / paste) and the results are for everybody to observe.

The Maltese Parliament should not interfere. Its not our business. Its a Libyan internal problem. It is written that the forces of Islam from east to west will converge against the Christian forces of the North in the Adriatic sea and Malta couldl be one of the casualties of war.
