The Times is not parroting whatever Gaddafi tells them. Gaddafi doesn’t say anything to The Times. The paper, like thousands of others round the world, is simply carrying foreign news wire reports – I believe The Times get these via Agence France Press (French) and the Press Association (British).

Did you really think that someone from the Gaddafi regime called up The Times and told them all that? The report is simply quoting the Libyan government spokesman, just as Sky News, BBC, CNN, Reuters and just about every news organisation – TV, print, radio and online – on the planet are.

The same news report you slag off then goes on to quote the Libyan opposition, a US spokesman, the US Defence Secretary, and gives details of the latest fighting on the ground, as well as background information on Kusa.
