In reply to asp. Those countries you mention, even Italy, are far less involved than we are, in negative terms that is. The only way they are involved more is that, unlike us, they are doing something about it.

Some of the comments on timesofmalta.com are shocking beyond belief.

I cannot understand why they are uploaded. To show the world how many idiots live in Malta? Does the editor think that by allowing all those comments (by the usual suspects, might I add) the site is gaining something? Is this some sort of freedom of speech? Freedom of ignorance, more like.

The saddest thing about this is that these people are proud of what they are.

I don’t think in Denmark , Italy, France and Qatar life has stopped and concentrating only on Libya! Life has to go on here as well and somehow local papers need to fill it’s X number of pages daily. can’t be just stories from Libya

Just imagine the comments/outrage in the near future should a new Libyan government blacklist Malta for being a Gaddafi lackey. The pressure is building up steadily for the Gaddafi clan to GO. I am curious to see the facial expressions when our top honchos from both sides of the house go visit the new government.

Prime Minister Gonzi said his moment of clarity about Muammar Gaddafi came when he saw that Gaddafi took advantage of the distraction caused by the Japan disaster, to attack Misurata.

He was either irresponsibly uninformed, or he preferred to keep his head in the sand, so that he could square his Catholic conscience with doing deals for Malta with a murderer and tyrant:

Decent people in Malta should tell him that we would rather have had less to eat than take a bloody man’s shilling and be bought by him for four decades and counting.
