It’s not as if Gatt goes around surrounded with henchmen ready to beat up anyone who so much as looks askance at him; this is not Lorry Sant or Wistin Abela we’re talking about.

He’s blunt and nonsense-intolerant. My kind of minister exactly.

An arrogant person is one who thinks it’s fine to leave hundreds of people waiting, who has no qualms about ignoring established protocol and who is already dreaming of how soft and comfortable the chairs at Castille are.

Now that’s not my kind of prime minister at all.

On the subject of Nicola’ Abela Garrett, if anyone thinks that her outburst was a spur of the moment “mixture of frustration and anger, which had been boiling up for 4 months whilst waiting for many long hours on many bus stops” as she stated in her open apology, think again.

Owen Bonnici: I only know Nicola’ by face from her work in the artistic field particulary at University and never spoke to her. I really admire her courage to stand up to one of the most arrogant Ministers which have ever “graced” the Government benches!
