I don’t agree Good Friday is short on laughs. Just tune in on any Maltese TV station now and you can watch the farce of entire Roman legions marching on the streets of Zejtun, Luqa etc to bands playing the movie scores from Ben Hur, Gladiator and some others.

The design of the uniforms is more the product of the metal-worker’s imagination rather than historical research.

They must cost a fortune to make but no price is too high to satisfy the limitless ostentation of the wearers some of whom remember Ben Hur from their childhood and the younger ones Gladiator. If this is religious devotion, I find comfort in my agnosticism.

The picture in this message is really misleading! I look forward to read your blog but I feel dissappointed to see this picture which was not on the FACEBOOK blog of Anglu Farrugia. I come from a PN background but I don’t take anything for granted so please post comments in right perspective!
