I know it came out in June. But I received a similar call yesterday.That is why I was wondering if someone could direct me on how to contact Microsoft Malta so that I will alert them of the possibility that these hoax calls were being made again.

Mr Joseph Muscat was born on January 22, 1974. He holds a Masters Degree in European Studies and is reading for a Ph.D in economics. He was part of a core team that set up the Institute for the Promotion of Small Enterprises which was established in agreement with the European Union and was granted EU funds for the restructuring of industry. At the age of 29 he was the youngest person to hold the post of chairman of the Malta Labour Party general conference during the sessions which forged the party’s new EU policy.

I cannot imagine how he’s going to deal with cabinet, parliamentary committee recommendations, MCESD meetings, MEPA, the central bank, EU legislation and its implementation, unions and their industrial disputes, ngo’s, lobby groups, the chamber of commerce, ministerial roles and their duplication, ambassadors and their missives, the church, minority groups, environmental associations…..need I go on?

And don’t give me he has a team, all the above require his being in the loop. If he won’t turn up for his own business, what the hell does he want? the glory?

Yesterday I read Hermann Schiavone’s article on the Times http://www.timesofmalta.com/articles/view/20111125/opinion/When-technocrats-run-the-show.395397

His observation about technocrats made me think about Joseph’s electoral strategy ,that’s were his eyes are set, after all.

As Schiavone pointed out in his article, the trend in Europe is that we are having people who are EXPERTS in the economy being asked to run countries which crashed into a solid wall due to irresponsible populist policies.His argument is that we don’t need technocrats to lead our country.

My suspicion is that Joseph Muscat is posing as a technocrat/politician and that HE’s got solutions because HE knows how our economy should be run. HE’s the solution…Mr Fix-it.

Now we all recall that we had an economist as Prime Minister twelve years ago who was surgical in his thoughts and as far as IQ is concerned Alfred Sant is one of the best brains there is in our parliament, he lacks emotional intelligence, he’s cold and ruthless in his reasoning.

[Daphne – For the zillionth time, Alfred Sant was and is not an economist. He has no background in economics. His degrees are in maths and physics and in business administration.]

Even if Joseph Muscat was an economist I wouldn’t trust him as Prime Minister. From the little he did he’s got a bad track record and he thinks he’s the best economist Malta ever had.Malta does not need an economist for a prime minister. Itt needs a prime minister who knows how to balance between what the people really need and what the country can afford.

We don’’t need another “Sappi tuttu” as Herbert Ganado used to refer to Mintoff. Alll we need is a prime minister with a proven track record who accepts good advice from technical people who try their models before proposing them.

This Sargas publicity campaign on a coal-fired power station should serve as an eye opener on how frivolous our leader of the opposition is on buying or funding a one billion Euro power station, when we don’t really need it .There will be an inter-connector cable and a gas pipeline with mainland Europe before we can have this expensive power station.

Dee, that report came out in June 2011 – it is foolish for anyone to give info either on the phone or through emails when asked for personal information about bank account, password, etc.
