I have again watched Franco Debono onDissett: the body language, jumping up and down on his chair, his hard-done-by attitude, the furtive looks sideways, going off at tangents, not answering Reno Bugeja’s questions, the spelling out that his next target is the Justice Ministry and Carmelo Mifsud Bonnici, his version of his exchange with Eddie Fenech Adami, the reduction of democracy to bus routes and timetables, not having a clue what being elected on a party ticket means….

He has now been abandoned by the PL hopefuls gagging for an early election.

Does this man have a mentor or, more important, did he ever have one?

He is on a self-centred ego trip and the the fact that he has blown his chances of getting elected again does not seem to concern him. What’s on his agenda is causing as much trouble and problems as possible to the party in government to which he supposedly belongs.

Short cuts, and no bus routes, please.

[Daphne – For the last bleeding time. Men that age – Joseph, Franco, etc – are not whippersnappers. Whippersnapper is a word you would use to describe somebody a generation younger. They are a mere five or six years younger than David Cameron. They are old enough to have children in the late teens. They are grown men, and middle-aged ones, what’s more.]
