Let us admit it...it is getting difficult nay impossible to park anywhere. Ok, for some it seems it is not important but everybody is getting a lot of hussle when the time comes to park one's car.It also seems to me that local councils and the government are always decreasing the parking spaces.

They use the banal excuse not to encourage people to use their cars. What is happening about money paid for car space parking ( as in Paceville ) ?

One encourages people to abandon their cars by giving a good ,fast and comfortable bus system. I hope that this new bus system will be good so even I will start to use it.Till now I am afraid to do so in case I arrive late for work.

@ Michael Borg

In civilized countries, parking meters are the norm and if you park your car without feeding the meter, then a hefty fine will discourage you from repeating the offence.

Dare to not pay the fine? Then your licence will not be renewed until you do.

Here we want everything for 'free'. Unfortunately, there is no such thing as a free lunch, not here, not anywhere.

When you park your car you are occupying public space. Parking meters ensure that you pay a small rent for the privilege.

Not very professional, to put it mildly, but that's about it?

There is nothing wrong with the message itself - I mean, apart from the way it is written and delivered.

Maybe there was some familiarity between the Insp. and this fellow's wife (in an innocent manner) and he was banking on that by communicating in such a "familiar" manner.

Cops have their tactics I suppose.
