Interestingly Labour does not need much bureaucracy and procedures to approve its candidates.

The PN seems to be burdened with a lot of work. It has not yet vetted its candidates and we’re a year away from the elections.

Are these prospective candidates to do nothing and be chided by the party like Manuel Delia was?

What will happen if a prospective candidate gathers a following and the party disapproves his candidacy at the eleventh hour?

Labour is quick and efficient: in no time Cyrus sees trouble coming his way, switches alligiance and is accepted by Joseph. Within a few months he’s representing the PL at the Socialist International together with Joseph.

WHat’s the point?

Now, what I find curious is Prof Fenech’s intervention. Why does he feel the need to discredit Busuttil? (That’s the point, I think, Mr Demartino.)

Prof Fenech has never told us what he knows about the criminal events related to the political scene of the late 1970s and early 1980s. For instance, we would be very interested to learn what he knows about the burning down of Strickland House. And many, many other things.
