[Daphne – Cat, as she has said herself in several comments on this blog, does not even live in Malta, though she is originally from Hal Qormi. She certainly doesn’t work at the Hal Qormi local council, but many hundreds of miles away.]

i am writing on behalf of the qormi scout group. i am the assistant group scout leader and all i can say about mr jesmond aquilina, that when he was the mayor he did all he could to help the group. So much so that since as ‘qormija’ quoted , we do need other premises ,Mr. Aquilina let us use the local council as an alternative for meetings until alternative adequate premises are found.we personally chose to do the troop section meetings still at our headquarters as their meeting is late and still we find no problem to hold meetings there… however the younger sections meet at the council.. this is all thanks to the ex mayor.. co operation between the qormi local council and the qormi scout group was always reciprocal.
