Jason’s petulant fit at what he perceived to be a below-par performance by Malta’s entry at this year’s Eurovision sweepstakes can perhaps be connected to Norman Hamilton’s resignation from the committee earlier this year.

I think a Norman Hamilton – Mary Spiteri (after all the Russians did it !) combo would have gone down a treat in Baku with perhaps some input from Julia Farrugia.

I saw this clip and I have to admit that it shows the serious situation. The eurovision authorities need to so some serious thinking about these contests. Shame on Azerbaijan and its regime. And shame on EBU for allowing such a contest to take place there.

It makes the EBU accomplice to these hardships imposed on the unfortunate people.

Shame shame shame.

I wish I saw this video a week ago. I’m a great Eurovision fan, but I would have boycotted this year’s show. This makes me sick to the stomach.

It’s also impressive how we received 8 points (the highest number of points we received) from Azerbaijan and gave them 12 points back. It smells of a pre-agreement with this Mintoff style regime.
