In reply to ciccio. She needs to have her blood pressure checked. As for asking her driver to take her to San Anton, it’s not a good idea. They might think that the Early Leeching Centre has despatched the wrong doll to the wrong address with the wrong official car.

And the taxpayer will cover it all, because he’s actually your husband’s driver.

As I replied in the original Dr A Borg Cardona blog “Calm down, dear” in The Times, Marlene Mizzi was being deceitful when she wrote that during the last 25 years of NP rule “one could literally get away with murder” if you had the right patronage. I now extend that to cover also Ms Marlene Mizzi’s correction to “attempted” murder.

To revive her memory for actual historic events, I mentioned the murder of Nardu Debono inside the Police GHQ when the perpetrator of that crime actually did “get away with murder ” for as long as the “patron” of that police force continued to be the ministers during the “glory days” of the MLP. Those were the days when Malta suffered a real “erosion of the moral fibre” and when a functioning “democracy was non-existent” during a period of “legal dictatorship”.

All that, was brought to an end when the Nationalist Party, under Dr Eddie Fenech Adami, restored a durable democratic rule lasting throughout this “twentyfive years culture”, according to the will of the majority and, as a result, a corrupted police force led by a Commissioner of Police jailbird lost the patronage of the MLP government.
