From a certain age onwards, time is precious and every second counts.

Whether it’s an expensive hobby or not, as in all things, depends on what one is after. I can assure there are some who can be very demanding.

A very young wife is quite an expensive hobby, but anyway if you can afford it, why not.

Lots of young men Maltese are even now complaining about Maltese women their age, who have been trained by their mothers to be pleasant and flirtatious but who, like their mothers, totally lack conversation and general knowledge. In fact they’re pretty cheap; the really desperate ones will service you for board and lodging, but you’ll need a friend in the immigration authorities.]
