It should be obvious to all that it is the height of folly to try to appease someone with the mind-set being exhibited by Dr Franco Debono.

To people of my age that is reminscent of Britain and France trying to appease an insatiable Adolf Hitler annexing one neighbouring after another, on each occasion promising that it was his “last” demand.

That serial appeasment did not prevent World War II.
