He is chairman of Malta’s research funding programme and he is chairman of the par excellence EU Research Framework Programme.

Does this mean anything to anyone who is not a scientist? I have a feeling it does not.

His continued occupation of this position only underscores how undervalued science and technology are on our shores. We are made to believe that Pullicino Orlando is cut from the same cloth as the vice-chairman of MCST Nicholas Sammut. Can we be any more foolish?
